Type-B Residual Current Detection Module - TLBxx-D3 Series

Type-B Residual Current Detection Module - TLBxx-D3 Series.jpgMost of the residual current protection solutions available on the market use a type-A residual current + DC protection module. However, this approach is known for its large space occupation, complex assembly, high design costs, and ongoing safety concerns. In order to provide a safer and more reliable solution, MORNSUN has introduced an easy-to-use type-B residual current detection module TLBxx-D3 series. This product is an ideal solution for circuit breaker manufacturers, which integrating a build-in power supply for easy powering. Customers do not need to modify circuit structures and can directly assemble the product into existing circuit breakers.

Advantages

1. Type-B residual current detection, comply with Industry standard

With the increasing number of electrical devices, the fault residual current waveforms have become more complex and diverse. Conventional type-AC/A residual current detection is prone to failure in such scenarios. Some standards in the low-voltage electrical industry have mandated the use of type-B residual current detection. The TTLBxx-D3 series fully complies with the IEC62423 and GBT 22794 standards, capable of detecting AC, DC pulsating residual currents, high-frequency AC, and DC currents, among others.

2. Easy to use:Integrating a build-in power supply, directly assemble into circuit breakers

This product series comes with an integrated power supply module that can be directly connected to the main power of either 220V (single-phase) or 380V (three-phase) without any additional conversion processing.

It adopts a side-mounted connection method between the power board and the residual current detection module, resulting in a smaller volume that can be directly embedded into the circuit breaker. This design reduces the customer’s design time and space constraints, improving the space utilization.

3. High immunity to external interference

The product demonstrates strong anti-interference capabilities during EMC testing (CE, RE, EFT, and Surge, etc.), ensuring compliance with standards without rejection or misoperation.

  • EFT meets 4kV, Tr/Th: 5/50ns, repetition frequency: 5kHz

  • Surge meets Tr/Th: 1.2/50us, Line to line: 4kV/2Ω
