TheSCM1212BisadriverintegratedwithMOSFETsfortheprimarysideofapush-pullpower..Thechipcanfunctionatthelowinputvoltageof 3V,andwillnotbedamagedunderthehighinputvoltageof9Vinonesecond..Thedevicecontains,twodrivesystemsandtwopowerMOSFET,and eachdrivesystemdecidescircuit’sdirectionofoneprimarywinding.EachdrivesystemincludesonepowerNMOSFET.Twodrivesystemsoperatein turnstoachievepush-pulldrive.TwopowerNMOSFETsarehighlysymmetricalinordertodecreasethedegreeofmagneticbiasingofpush-pull topology.TheSCM1201Bisalsointegratedwiththreekeytechnologiestoimprovereliability.Thefirstoneissoftstartfunction,whichlimitsthecurrent ofMOSFETtoavoidthedamagecausedbythelargecurrentimpactwhenturningonthepower,andquantitativelyguaranteesthecapacitiveloadin CCloadmode.Thesecondoneisoutputover-currentandshortcircuitprotection.Ontheonehand,theSCM1201Bdistinguishesbetweenthe over-currentprotectionandtheshort-circuitprotection,whichcancontroltheshort-circuittemperaturerisewhileguaranteethecapacitiveload.Onthe otherhand,thechipcanadjustprotection’sthresholdbasedontheinputvoltageandtempreaturetoimprovetheconsistency.Thelastoneisover temperatureprotection,whenthechipoperatesbeyondthespecifiedtemperature,itwillentersthedormancystateautomatically.Itwillnotoperateuntil thetemperaturedecreasestothesetpoint.
